Search Engine Optimization

Have you ever wondered when you search some keywords on Google and in return you get a  relevant website that discloses the information about your keyword? If yes, then this is what is called SEO.

1.What is SEO?

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, In other words, it is the process of improving the visibility of your website to others. The more visibility you gain the more followers you gain. People use this SEO to get into the eyes of others. It is mostly seen after the paid services.

Below is an Example

The main benefit of a specific keyword is you get free traffic to your website.

2. How SEO Works?

Imagine that you want to search for something where do you go? Obviously, we go to the search engines like Google, Firefox, etc... Now, these search engines have some special recipes called an algorithm which gives you the result for what you have been searching for. In a detailed way, these search engines use bots that index around the pages on the web and collect the information from one page to another, and stores it in a place next, the algorithm analyzes the information and gives the best result For example

When I searched about Headphones it showed me some of the best results(Highlighted with Green)within a stipulated period of time but these search engines don't provide all the websites that are available on the web. Well, the algorithm depends upon 3 major factors to show the results for a specific keyword.

(a)Relevancy:-

For example, if you search for headphones you don't want to see something related to tablets right? So, these search engines look for websites that are closely related to the keyword that we searched for.

(b)Authority:-

It is a way of checking if the content is trustworthy or not it is done by using backlinks(you can see it further). if a page has more links the higher it ranks.

If your Website is linked by others then there is a higher chance that your website could come first in the organic search.

What are BackLinks?

Backlinks (also known as “inbound links”, “incoming links” or “one-way links”) are links from one website to a page on another website. Google and other major search engines consider backlinks “votes” for a specific page. Pages with a high number of backlinks tend to have high organic search engine rankings.

(c)Usefulness:-

If the content is authoritative and relevant and might not be useful then the search engines are not likely to preview your website on top of the search results.

For example, if we search about a specific topic and we get a result where we can 2 websites which show similar content but search engines promote the website which has useful information and whether it is authoritative or not it will be shown first.

In other words how a user interacts with a particular website and if search engines monitor the user action then the website could get a PageRank boost where the search rank will be increased.

Why SEO Is So Important for a website…

SEO is important that it'll make your website visible on the net when there is a relevant search. Here people could use the organic process and paid process to showcase their website to others. This SEO could change the fate of your website. The organic process may take some time to work because it depends on the content you make and some external factors. optimizing your site will help to deliver better information to search engines so that your content can be properly indexed and displayed to others.

Conclusion

In the end I would just like to say it’s hard to say how we would ever find websites, businesses, or the information we seek without SEO. As a growing business investing in Search Engine Optimization will improve your business' visibility and reach on the Internet.
